Psychological Services

Eligibility for Services

Adaptive Change Psychology provides psychological services to adults (18+) located in Australia. We also provide an outreach mobile service for clients with an acquired brain injury. We may decline or discontinue services if:

  • Client needs fall outside our scope, or

  • Telehealth is not clinically appropriate, or

  • Safety or boundary concerns arise.

Therapeutic Relationship

Use of this website or submitting enquiries through this website does not establish a psychologist-client relationship. A therapeutic relationship with a psychologist at Adaptive Change Psychology is only established after:

  • A formal intake process has been completed; and

  • An appointment has been confirmed; and

  • Informed consent has been obtained.

Fees and Billing

Current fees can be obtained by emailing us at enquiries@adaptivechange.com.au

For Telehealth appointments, payment is required at the time of booking or prior to the commencement of your session, depending on the arrangement.

Medicare rebates may apply when eligible and with a valid referral. Please note that the referral must be dated and provided to the psychologist on or before the day of the appointment.

WorkCover and private health fund rebates may apply.

Cancellation Policy (48 Hours)

Adaptive Change Psychology requires 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This policy ensures availability and fairness to all clients.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a fee at 50% of the full session fee.

Non-attendance for a scheduled appointment will incur a fee at 100% of the full session fee.

Please note that Medicare, WorkCover, and private health insurers do not provide rebates for cancellation fees and will be the responsibility of the client to pay before the next session is scheduled.

Telehealth Requirements

By attending a Telehealth appointment, you agree to:

  • Be within Australia at the time of the appointment

  • Use a private, confidential space

  • Ensure stable internet connection

  • Not record sessions without mutual written consent

  • accept that Adaptive Change Psychology is not responsible for disruptions caused by internet or device issues. Sessions provided online may be completed over telephone if internet connection difficulties occur and are unable to be resolved.
